Education of the elderly on digital technologies in Săcueni – the training series started in July continues

A total of 20 pensioners from Romania and Hungary took part in the free training, aimed at helping seniors navigate our rapidly evolving and increasingly digitalized world through instructional videos. This workshop was the second in a series of training sessions that started in July, involving twelve local pensioners and eight members of the Retirees’ Civic Association from Gyula (Hungary). Similar to the previous session, the main topics covered were the effective and safe use of digital devices, avoiding phone and online scams, verifying information and news, credit card use, online shopping and payments, and other practical issues related to digital technologies. These topics were explored over the three-day meeting through professional presentations, round-table discussions and instructional videos, with important feedback from participants.

Free Training Sessions with Instructional Videos for Seniors in Romania and Hungary

An interactive training session was organized between 12-14 July in Săcueni by the Ér Hangja Association for retirees from Romania and Hungary. This workshop is part of a free training initiative under the winning Erasmus+ project titled Click it until you make it!. The goal of the training is to help seniors effectively and safely use the opportunities provided by digital devices through instructional videos. Additionally, the organizers aim to impart new knowledge to help seniors cope with the rapidly evolving challenges of digital technologies.

On the third weekend of January, members of Ér Hangja Association met with representatives of Békéscsaba’s Premier Vocational Art High School and Elementary Art School, – their partners during the project – in Gyula, Hungary, in order to discuss the details of the Click it until you make it!, their winning KA210-ADU-1A1F806E code Erasmus+ project. The meeting’s aim was to plan a free training among older people for developing digital skills and to distribute between the organizers the tasks related to the production of the instructional videos.

Click it until you make it! – Free course for retirees to acquire knowledge about the digital world

The Ér Hangja Association is launching another free course aimed at developing digital competencies for the retired members of our community. The project called Click it until you make it! will start in DEcember and is a joint initiative of our association and the Premier Vocational Art High School and Elementary Art School in Békéscsaba, Hungary, allowing also Hungarian retirees to participate in the program. Keeping in mind the significance of adult education and lifelong learning the four-month course will involve retirees over the age of 55 who find it important to acquire new knowledge to help them cope with the rapidly evolving digital technologies.
