Between 16-18 June in the course of the 4th town days of Székelyhíd , in the organization of Ér Hangja Association was held the friendly gathering of twin towns across the borders, which closened Székelyhíd to its twin towns from Romania, Hungary, Belgium, Croatia and Felvidék (Slovakia). The goal of the gathering was community building via exchange of experiences and building a common future in Europe. The program was fund by the European Union for citizens program and sponsored by the local city hall.

Participation: The project involved 478 citizens, notably 2 participants from the city of Écaussinnes (Belgium),
55 participants from the city of Moča (Slovakia), 24 participants from the city of Gyermely (Hungary), 52 participants from the city of Nyíradony (Hungary), 50 participants from the city of Kotlina (Croatia) and 295 participants from the city of Săcueni (Romania).

Short description:
The main purpose of the town twinning event was multiple: 1. to get acquainted the participating delegations and the public with the benefits and challenges of the European Union, 2. sharing the folkloric and artistic values of the participating localities and 3. promoting the fundamental principles of the EU like tolerance, active citizenship, donating.

The Erasmus+ project, in which the Er hangja Association from Sacueni works as the partner from Romania, arrived to it’s third, last session. Thanks to the first two programs the Association managed to send six young people to two different Albanian cities on the coasts of the Mediterranean Sea, to international environment, with meals and accommodation free of charge.

So now the Erhangja Association is looking for three young people, aged between 18-25 years, who would like to go to Dürres, Albania, between 22-28 April, 2017. The participants would learn about the equality of sexes, the proper promotion and communication of this kind of equality through mass media and other information channels that we use day by day.

The youth exchange NEETs FOR CHILDREN IN NEED will take place between 20-26 April 2017 in Săcueni, Romania with 30 young people from Romania, Hungary, Greece, Portugal and Lithuania.

The main topic of the youth exchange will be the social-economical-educational inclusion of young generations which will be approached from two sides. On the one hand, the majority of participants directly involved in the project will be NEET (not in employment, education and training) youngsters willing to develop skills, competences that can enhance their chances to employment. On the other hand, we intend to decrease the risk of social exclusion of institutionalized children (orphans, semi-orphans) through various programs carried out by the participants of the youth exchange in the local orphanage.

The Er hangja Association is int he fortunate situation of being the partner of a multiphasic Erasmus+ project that has 3 events in 3 different cities of Albania. We already let you know on this page what happened in the seaside city of Dürres, on the first meeting, that was a Youth Training, but the second meeting is yet to come.

This is why the Er hangja association needs young people between the age of 18-25 yrs, who would like to travel to Albania, Lezhë, between 7-14th of March 2017 in order to learn about gender equality, how to report it properly through media, and to share thoughts about this topic with the young people of other countries.

The Er hangja Association participated as partner in a project in Albania, between 12-19 October. The title of the Erasmus+ training was Gender Portrays trough Media. Three participants took part in the program from the city of Sacueni and represented Romania beside other youngsters from Macedonia, Kosovo, Greece, Bulgaria, Italy, and Albania.
 
During the seven days the participants worked on the question of how man and women are depicted in media, doing this through individual work and team work, and also through non-formal educational methods.

Between 22-28 August the second Erasmus+  project of Ér hangja Association took place with great success at Székelyhíd. Thirty young people from four countries took place in it.

During the time of the different activities, the Bulgarian, Hungarian, Romanian and from HIghlands (south part of Slovakia) participants got aquinted with the culture and traditions of the others through cooking different traditional meals. The first day of the youth change programme was the exposure day, when all the participants got aquinted with the project, their daily programme, the Erasmus+ programme of the EU, the hometown of the project and had the first meeting with the  others. They learned the name of each other through a game and gave an account of their expectations over against the programmes and their participation in it.  

A project can be any long or short, the last day is always the best day. Those who are homesick are happy to get back, those who wanted to have friends have 1-2 really good friends on the last day yet. The same happened here too. And besides this, in the morning the youth spread the flyers and posters and then the projection started on time.
 
The mayor of Sacueni appeared too to greet the youth and say thanks for choosing his city for a summer challenge. Also the organizers expressed their gratitude for the active participation and productive week. The projection was enjoyed by many, yet the afternoon was calling again for the participants only. The most important part, the final evaluation and handover of the Youthpasses was left for the afternoon. So there was nothing left to do, than celebrating the achievements by partying together.

Those who did not have enough rest or games after the “working days”, on Saturday had the chance to recover their needs. Still, there were some things left to do. This way those who did not find their place in front of the computers to study the video editing software had the option of drawing the flyers and posters for the Sunday projection of the short movies. Finally, the day of Saturday and the list of cultural nights ended with the Romanian cultural night, since the host country was left for last as comeliness.

The Friday morning was devoted to the filming of the introductory videos for each short movie about the preparation of the national dishes. Each group had to imagine and to draw, plan their first introductory scenes (what background do they need, how do they want to introduce themselves, etc.) and then shoot it with the help of the associations expert colleague. After lunch some more work had to come since the videos had to be ready for the final editions, so each group was filming the missing parts. The intensive work was followed by active relaxation.
