I took part in the performance of the Muppet Show presented by Szigligeti Színház Lilliput Társulat from Oradea (about 40 km away from Săcueni). This event took place in the local theater in Săcueni on October 12.

The original Muppet Show is a comedy series created by Jim Henson and featuring the Muppets. The series was made as two pilot episodes produced by Henson for ABC in 1974 and 1975, respectively.

The actors from Oradea used muppets to convey content related to Romanian culture. The main viewers were pupils of the local school, teachers, employees of the community center and us, international volunteers.

The performance was aimed specifically at children, but also interesting for adults. The aim of the show was to promote local culture by telling a fairy tale in the form of a dance by a group from Oradea. The dancers used mupetts and props to induce curiosity among children. I think promoting local culture and values in the form of fun is a great way to support the development of the youngest inhabitants.

The actors used their dancing skills, playing musical instruments, and gesturing to make the performance more eye-catching.

The Muppet Show introduces life and social skills: sharing and safety in real situations. The Muppet Show is a kind of comedy show with real-life situations.
