This time, students from the No. 1 Technological High School from Cadea had the opportunity to participate in the project titled “Recycling is the Pillar of Sustainable Development”, creating educational videos for their peers on the topic of environmental awareness. As in previous editions, preparatory workshops were held beforehand, where members of the Ér Hangja Association introduced the basics of filmmaking to the students. During the sessions, participants learned the technical aspects of using cameras and microphones, as well as how to craft the message of an educational video in a visually and content-wise impactful way.
Following joint brainstorming and planning, the students began filming their short videos, initially focusing on the themes of reusing and recycling, with the involvement of local teachers. The films are not only informative, but also personal, as the students incorporated their own conclusions, opinions, and experiences. In this way, the final materials truly speak from students to students – directly, authentically, and in a thought-provoking manner.
This phase of the project once again proved that when young people are given the opportunity for creative self-expression, they are capable of formulating responsible and inspiring messages – especially when it concerns a shared future that affects us all. The program is carried out with the support of the European Solidarity Corps and in partnership with the Sacueni Town Hall.
